You used to be able to downvote any comment/reply that a user posted. Now, the button to downvote is still visibly there but pressing it results in an error. You can only upvote a comment. Why was this changed? I'm not trying to get it changed back or whatever, I don't care that much, but I guess I'm curious about why it got changed? It is kind of ironic that a site that has shows death for what it is would remove downvoting because they care about the feelings of some sensitive users. In that case, why are they even visiting this site in the first place? More than anything I believe being able to downvote acted as a giveway to trolls. If their comment(s) weren't obvious enough, checking their comment score should confirm it. Voting by definition is the option to choose for or against something or someone.
